Case Worker, Catherine House

Sophie is a Case worker at Catherine house Supported Accommodation Service and outreach programs. Sophie is an emerging practitioner, commencing her career in Social work with Catherine House. Sophie has strong values of Social Justice, trauma informed and empowerment. Sophie has been working within the DCS Bail program since it established in 2021, and values the partnership with the department of Corrections. Sophie had the exciting opportunity to be part of a collaboration between Catherine House and Department Correctional Services to set up bail accommodation for women exiting custody, incorporating 4 beds into the existing Supported Accommodation Service.
The goal was to enable women to have an experience of a supportive community while accessing a range of health, education and wellbeing services, before their transition into housing in the community.
