Matthew Scott

Lived Experience Worker, St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne

Matthew Scott is employed as a Lived Experience Worker (LEW) with the Healthcare for the Homeless Department at St Vincent’s Hospital.  As the inaugural LEW within the Department, he has contributed significantly to the development of the role across programs that work specifically with people experiencing homelessness.  Matthew has a significant amount of experience representing people with lived experience of homelessness and is a member of multiple hospital committees and research teams.  He is a strong advocate for the rights and wellbeing of those who are receiving care at our hospital who feel marginalised and he contributes significantly to improving their hospital experience.
