Marcus Baumgart

Director, BCBA Studio

Marcus Baumgart is a founding Director of BCBA Studio, with fellow Directors John A. Clark and Nick Barker. The studio was established in 2013 to provide architectural and design consulting services to non-profits, NGO’s, government agencies, municipalities and private clients. 

The team specialises in all forms of housing, assisted accommodation, crisis accommodation, and youth foyers; as well as educational projects, liturgical projects and aged care. Core and cluster accommodation projects in Victoria and New South Wales make up a significant component of the firm’s current folio, as well as social, community and public housing of different scales. 

In his spare time, Marcus is a widely published freelance design journalist, with more than a hundred reviews, articles, essays and profiles in print. He has also taught design at RMIT University.
