Ilia Houridis

Director, City Shaping, City of Adelaide

Ilia Houridis has built a career that has influenced and contributed to the development of place through policy, programs, and infrastructure.  When paired with his own love affair for design, infrastructure, sport, art, and the community, he feels truly fortunate to get to do what he does on a daily basis.   

His qualifications include Business, Commercial Law and Architecture and he is an alumnus of the Governor's Leadership Foundation and the Australian Institute of Company Directors. 
 
Currently the Director City Shaping at the City of Adelaide, some current key focusses are delivery of Adelaide’s City Plan; a spatial plan for the city and development of Council’s Housing Policy and delivery of an Adaptive Reuse strategy to contribute to housing and population growth in the CBD.
