Dr Jennifer Joynt an environmental social scientist with over 20 years of research experience in the private and public sectors focused on the relationship between society and the built environment. Her work centres on improving health and wellbeing outcomes, especially for marginalised communities. As a Principal Evaluation and Research Specialist at Kāinga Ora, Aotearoa New Zealand, Jennifer leads the evaluation of a transformative redevelopment project called Te Mātāwai. Te Mātāwai, a large apartment complex in central Auckland, aims to provide supportive housing for 200 individuals, including former rough sleepers, with wraparound services delivered by a kaupapa Māori (by Māori for Māori) organisation. Jennifer's longitudinal study will capture insights to enhance services and improve customer experiences, shaping future supportive housing initiatives in Aotearoa New Zealand.
